A Patrol on the evening of the 4th August 1870

A painting in progress. A patrol of Prussian hussars hails some German infantry taking a breath in a back street in Wissembourg after the battle of the same name that day. That's a French Chasseur lurking in a back garden on the right..

    He looks a little big there, but am sure I got the perspectives right, I think he'll bed in when he's painted in eventually.
